We Come

by John Miner & David Adam

Background
Inspired by early rock-‘n-roll vocal groups, I set out to write this song as a tribute to the music that blared from my transistor radio back in the late 50’s – early 60’s, prior to high school. In those days, a lead singer would be surrounded on stage by a 3-4 well-coordinated background singers offering their doo-ops, oo’s and ah’s arranged in tight harmonies and blended chords. I was captivated by that sound at an early age and still enjoy it today.

This chosen musical style is but a vehicle to carry the solid Christian message crafted by David Adam and found in his book of Celtic poetry, “The Open Gate”. My very capable “band mates” on organ and bass help to bring this fun song to life. So, tap your feet, clap your hands and join us in announcing to the One whom we serve and follow, “Yes, we have come!”.
